action of these three boys. they say the crime happened at you know unsupervised house party last september. 15-year-old passed out after drinking. she was sexually assaulted. the two boys took pictures during the assault. those photos were posted them on line. she later committed suicide. >> the way the crime was carried out came with a high degree of sophistication. the family's belief they should be tried an adult. >> the attorney is accusing them by destroying evidence in the case by deleting texts and emails. they will make their first court appearance to tuesday. >> documents released by the state department of transportation showed that company that made the faulty bolts for the bay bridge was

flagged before because of shoddy work. the documents show in 2007 a year before the bolts were delivered and installed caltrans gave dyson corporation a failing grade. they said the company had big problems in the heat treatment area that likely led to bolts snapping because they were too brittle. bridge authorities met this week to find a solution to the problem. in marin county, sheriffs investigators are looking to witnesses after dozens of shots were fired between two cars yesterday. no one was injured but "abc 7 news" reporter sergio quintana shows how bullets narrowly missed a mother and two children. >> she was sitting in the back seed of her cousin's suv with her daughter sitting beside her. she was about to get home when she saw two cars speeding behind

them. >> he pulled over and one-first car got on the side of us, he begun shooting at us. >> the three-year-old was hit by a frag meant. he heard the shot shots coming from the street. >> i hear four shots and i jump and i tell my son to get down because i don't know where the shots are coming from. i'm a little angry, who wants to think about their child being shot up. >> reporter: just moments before and less an a mile down the street they industry describe a spray of bullets. a stray bullet from this exchange, hit the fence and came into the house. woman who lives here asked us not to identify her because she is worried for her family's safety. way up. the after this was found in a nearby store. he was arrested for child endangerment. >> you shouldn't leave people in a vehicle without air-conditioning, or a pet, or anything important that matter. it could really be a factor in the summer months. >> on wednesday a woman was arrested for leaving her four-month-old baby in her car in the same parking lot. a busy stretch of highway 101 in marn will see rolling closures this weekend. highway patrol will set up traffic breaks along the southbound direction of 101 between marin city and golden gate bridge. this will happen tomorrow between 7:00 a.m. and noon. an on-ramp from spencer avenue will be shut down that will give geologists a chance to survey a cliff in the area that has been the site of several rock slides. >> a peek of a beautiful sunny forecast. >> a little chilly in some

event. questions are surfacing and now the fda is looking for answers. new this morning, today is a national day of action by opponents of remote controlled drone aircraft. answer coalition will gather in downtown san francisco to call for an end of using drones for attacks and for domestic use by police agencies. the event coincides with protests in washington, d.c., los angeles, sacramento and other major u.s. cities. anti-drone groups say the u.s. government has used drones to kill more than 4700 people worldwide. they say the government has also deployed along the mexican border more than 1.5 million immigrants since president obama took office. >> a south bay post office will bear the name of a hometown hero. kenneth ballard was killed while

that will keep things cool at the coast. tomorrow it will be cooler and even windier. do be prepared for that. if you are headed to the coliseum for the a's game. it should be comfortable. 1:05, 64 degrees and then a warmup to 66 and also at pacific satellite image. it tells the story what to expect. the area of low pressure. this cool air mass will slide south bringing windy conditions, as well, tomorrow. that will continue into monday. for today you can still enjoy some very nice comfortable 70s out there in the south bay. 74 in san jose. 72 even in santa cruz. peninsula will see low 70s in palo alto. breezy at the coast with only 56 in pacifica. downtown san francisco, 62 degrees.

criticized obama's budget blueprint calling it a blank check for spending and debt. >> biggest gun producer in the country is coming to the cow palace this weekend. they are holding the second of five shows in daly city. political reporter mark matthews talked with the show's owner. >> the owner says gun owners fear the government wants to take their guns. >> there is a concern that at some point in time, maybe way, way into the future, the government wants to know where the guns are and regulate or eventually confiscated them. he says the fear is justified because senator feinstein has said she wants to end gun ownership. >> she has said in the past that gun ownership should be severely restricted and civilians probably shouldn't have guns. >> he says she said that during

the gun ban in 1993. >> was he is talking about all firearms, or the ones she was trying to get banned? >> not sure what context it was in. it was in congressional hearings. >> reporter: a check of the record failed to turn up on tha statement. i have covered her for decades but no question, opponents are afraid and fear is driving up the sales of a guns and ammunition. on the other side, fear is being used as a tool, as well. some supporters of stricter gun control have just produced this political advertisement targeting mitch mcconnell. the ad is running in kentucky, his home state. >> you can go down to the gun show and local convention center and come away with a fully automatic assault rifle without a background check and most likely without having to show an

identification card. what are you waiting for? >> what are you waiting for? >> they called that ad deplorable. about feinstein's statement about wanting to ban all guns. there are conservative websites in zat 35 interview which she said if she had the votes from the senate she would have pushed for a ban, she was talking about assault weapons. those conservative websites never show the question that would have put the answer in context. you also have at option this morning to sell your gun instead of buying one. nine police departments on the peninsula are sponsoring a gun buy-back at the south courthouse. they will pay you hundred dollars for handguns, shotguns and rifles and $200 for assault weapons. funds are limited, it's for

people of south san francisco, daly city, san bruno, colma, millbrae, brisbane and broadmore only. >> she suffered a bout with cancer. e that you that you is inspiring ellen tauscher represented the east bay from 1997 to 2009. she resigned to show the state department. at the same time she was battling cancer. this year, 18,000 will be diagnosed with the fastest growing cancer in the u.s.. she was a guest speaker at a forum sponsored by john muir health. this morning she is giving a speech before the start of the 5-k event at lafayette reservoir. >> the marin ballet is celebrating 50 years of service and bringing back the alumni nie for spectacular reunion. one is major artist with the

live shot at mount tam. hazy parts of the bay and camera bouncing shows us the breezy conditions we can expect later this afternoon for the rest of us. currently in san francisco, it is 50 degrees. oakland 54. san carlos, 52 and san jose, 51. only 48 in santa cruz. we still hang on to the 40s for a lot of the morning hours. we're still seeing 40s as well as we look live towards downtown san francisco. 48 in napa but 51 elsewhere. temperatures are climbing up slowly but we're seeing really warm numbers later on this afternoon. a lot of sunshine for everybody. mild numbers inland, in the upper 70s. this breezy onshore flow will be with us during the afternoon, 10-20 miles an hour westerly winds and cooler and even

windier for sunday. here is a look at pacific satellite image. over the last 12 hours, you see the area of low pressure bringing the cool air mass. it will slide south. that is why we see cooler temperatures tomorrow and windier conditions. so enjoy the nice day today while you can. i mentioned a very slight chance of rain. looks like it might happen late sunday night, but it's not very likely at this point. some of the drizzle may stick to just the coast, not making quite over land. you saw the areas of light green most likely mist and drizzle, not much rain at all. monday waking up to rye conditions, clear conditions, very cold once again. so enjoy the nice temperatures and comfortable warmth today in san jose, 74. 72, santa cruz. menlo park, 71. breezy at the coast. temperatures will be in the 50s. 56 in pacifica.
